ingredients

2 ripe, firm pears (bartletts work well)
3-4 cups baby lettuce mix
vino de milo gorgonzola pear riesling dressing and marinade
blue cheese, aged goat cheese, or gorgonzola cheese
toasted or candied walnuts
dried cranberries
slices of roasted duck, or cut portions of roasted duck

directions
  1. Peel and core pears and cut into slices.
  2. Mix salad greens, walnuts and cranberries together with the Vino de Milo Gorgonzola Pear Riesling Dressing.
  3. Place mounds of salad mixture onto two plates (or one large one if you eat mediterranean style from one platter). arrange pears in the center, and place the duck off to one side and cheese off to the other side. Drizzle more dressing over the pears and the duck. Serve with warm crusty bread.

NOTE: Peeled and cored pears can be placed on a grill or under a broiler until just browned, then sliced and served with warm duck, if desired.
